If you're at least 18 years old (for intrastate driving; 21 for interstate driving) and are interested in becoming a commercial truck driver, the 天涯海角APP CDL program is for you!
How long is 天涯海角APP’s CDL-A Program?
We can get you road ready in just a few weeks! Choose from two formats to fit your schedule:
9-Week CDL Program
- Classroom learning on CDL theory will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for 7 weeks
- Range and over-the-road training Saturdays and Sundays for a minimum of 7 weeks (up to 9 weeks depending on progress)
- Behind the wheel training each week (6-8 hours) on a truck driving range and over the road — up to 60 hours of real-world training
4-Week CDL Program (accelerated)
- Class will meet 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Hybrid schedule with a mix of theory and range training covered every day
- Behind the wheel training each week (6-8 hours) on a truck driving range and over the road — up to 60 hours of real-world training

Take Your Next Steps
- Have a valid driver's license from your state of residence
- Have a valid Class A commercial learner's permit (including general knowledge, air brake and combination vehicle endorsement) from your state of residence
- You must take and pass the test at the local DMV to obtain the CDL-A Permit.
- To prepare for the test, you will need to study sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 in the . A Kansas permit costs $13.
- If you are a Missouri student, you will need to reference the . You can also pick up a copy of the study guide at the DMV. A Missouri permit costs $41.
- You must take and pass the test at the local DMV to obtain the CDL-A Permit.
- Sign a drug test release form and pass a 10-panel drug screen within 30 days before the start of class
- Pass a current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- Complete a motor vehicle record check
- Arrange for funding or financing for the course fee
- CDL students have several funding options available, including veterans and other program scholarships, payment plans and alternative student loans
