Setting Up Stumail

ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP provides every enrolled credit student with a ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP student email account — called "stumail." This account is separate from any messages you send or receive as part of your coursework in Canvas.

First-time users must activate their account.

While you are not required to use your stumail for outbound correspondence, your stumail account is the College's primary communication tool to its students. It's where you receive important reminders, notices and other information from ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP regarding your enrollment and time as a student here.

A few tips:

  • Check your stumail mailbox through MyÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP or to a personal email account you check often.
  • Login with your full student email address: username@stumail.jccc.edu. If you have a personal Gmail account, you may need to first logout and/or select "Add an account." Your stumail account is separate from any existing Google or Gmail account you might have.
  • Students will lose access to your stumail account two years after leaving ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP. For this reason, we recommend using a more permanent personal email account for non-ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP purposes.
  • You can send and receive email messages up to 20 MB in size, including attachments.
  • Remember to log out after using your email.

Google Apps Accessibility for Students with Disabilities

Google's email service is available in a basic HTML format that includes shortcut keys and should be compatible with some screen readers.
