天涯海角APP is committed to creating an environment that is free from discrimination on the basis of sex, including pregnancy and parental status, in its educational programs and activities.
Pregnancy modifications for students
Students who are pregnant, or have a pregnancy-related condition, may request reasonable modifications necessary to enable them to continue to participate in their education program or activity.
Pregnancy-related conditions, which include:
- Pregnancy
- Childbirth
- Miscarriage
- Termination of a pregnancy
- Recovery from any of the above conditions
- Lactation
If you are pregnant or have a pregnancy-related condition, please contact the Title IX Coordinator at titleix@jccc.edu if you need modifications in the classroom or have any questions or concerns. Specific modifications will be handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on the student’s needs and academic requirements
The Title IX Coordinator will work with the student and the academic program or other College officials to offer reasonable modifications so the student can continue to participate in educational programs and activities. The College may request medical documentation when it is required of students with other medical conditions under similar circumstances.
Three private lactation rooms are available for students to use. Nursing mothers can request a code to gain access to a lactation room.

Title IX also prohibits harassment and retaliation
Title IX prohibits harassment of students based on sex.
Title IX prohibits retaliation against a student for exercising rights granted by Title IX.
Grievance procedure
Students who believe they have experienced sex discrimination may make a complaint by contacting the Title IX Coordinator at titleix@jccc.edu.
