OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – With ongoing funding from ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP, the Kansas Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) will permanently house the Capital Access Center (CAC) on campus. As one of only three centers like it in the United States, the CAC will continue to provide free expert loan guidance for Kansas small businesses seeking capital.
In the last two years, the CAC has proven to be a pivotal asset to Kansas small businesses. To date the CAC has helped 51 companies achieve $39 million in capital infusion and has conducted more than 150 financial trainings and workshop presentations.
Initially funded by the CARES Act and launched in July 2020 during the height of the pandemic, the CAC continues to stay true to its tagline, “Bankers working for the client.”
“We are thrilled to continue our mission of assisting Kansas businesses. Obtaining capital is often the most difficult obstacle for small business owners and we have proven the CAC is a vital resource,” said Vincent Haworth, CAC Director. “I cannot think of a better partner than the SBDC of ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP. SBDC of ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP has a tremendous track record of providing high quality business consulting services that aligns with the overall mission of the CAC.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to integrate the CAC into our regional center and provide them support to continue to serve the small business capital needs across the state of Kansas,” said Jessica ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP, Regional Director of ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP KSBDC.
About the Kansas SBDC: The Kansas Small Business Development Center serves as the state advising resource for the small business owner. Whether it’s an existing business looking to boost sales or a start-up trying to get off the ground, we provide our clients with quality, professional, and personal care all in a confidential setting. The Kansas SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Learn more about the Kansas SBDC at www.jcccsbdc.com or call 913-469-3878.
